I started this piece quite a while ago at work. It’s simply a conceptual 2D painting with some elements based of 3D objects from the game that was made for no other purpose to experiment and for use in misc. relation from PR to decoration etc. The picture shows 3 of the totally 6 races of Darkfall, the MMORPG-game I am working on fulltime. The girl is an elf, the guy in the middle is a human, and the short dude is obviously a dwarf. Some of the elements is based of 3D objects made by other members of Aventurine S.A.

The picture was made in extremely high resolution, so I recommend you to have a look at the close ups also posted to GFX.

All elements are copyrighted Aventurine S.A. and can not be used for any other purpose.

Painted using Photoshop CS2 with a Wacom Intuos tablet, and some elements based on 3D renders of actual in game objects/environments.

Cool stuff Henning

The details are amazing.
The mixture of 3D and 2D works quite well, yet
feels a bit uncomfertable.
I like the dwarf most, love his expression.
The elf is a bit off, I find her legs a bit 'goofy'

Overall a great artwork + 9

As I said on DA Excellent use of colours! Love the artificial light sources too. The only thing I thing is slightly wrong is the position of the bow. This seems one of the hardest things to get right as I have seen this aspect (perspective of a bow) in other paintings not done quite right. it looks great but I cant put my finger on it! Actually it may just be my eyes.

Great characters design.
Great expresion of the character who is in the center position.(the expresion of the others are good but not great)
Amazing textures.
Good lighting.
Great background.

good work, love the colors .... concept in general ...

but there is mistake with the bow (chord and the rest) .. with it's angle / perspective
