Description

This is an illustration for Fantasy Flight Games collectible card game named A Game of Thrones, which is based on the world of best-selling author George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice & Fire. This belongs to the Clash of Arms Edition.

This illustration was also used on the card packaging for the "Ancient enemies" chapter pack, which I think is pretty cool!

The character is Areo Hota. He is a tall grizzled veteran with a mop of hair that was once dark but has now turned to a whitish grey. He is now captain of the prince's guard, and wields a tall, wicked looking axe that he has been "wedded" to, and is rumoured to sleep with.

Illustrations for card games like this always have short deadlines, and are supposed to be viewed on a smaller scale than here.
